This is one of the most exclusive beaches in the world andis accessible only by helicopter or seaplane.  Located on Queensland’sWhitsunday Islands this amazing beach has piercing-white sand against a fluorescent-green backdrop of the tropical forest on the island’s mountains.  This place will leave you speechless. El Nido is found in Palawan, Philippines.  This picture-perfect beach isdifferent from the rest by one magnificent trait — those unmistakable, protruding limestone cliffs. The cliffs shoot out of the turquoise-blue lagoon straight to the sky.  But here the reefs are also spectacular as are the palm-lined shores. El Nido also offers world-class diving by day and luxurious resorts by night.

4. Praia do Sancho, Pernambuco

About an hour off the coast of Brazil, nestled on the small island of Fernando de Noronha you can find the remote Praia do Sancho.  This beach is consistently voted one of the world’s best beaches. Although it’s beautiful it is difficult to reach, and you need to be somewhat fit to get there. To arrive to this beach, you have to hike, scoot down a dark narrow tunnel and go down some pretty steep stairs. Because it’s located in a national park, you also have to pay an entrance fee.  But the palm-fringed cliffside, golden sands and stunning blue waters are worth every penny.

5. Tulum Beach, Quintana Roo

Tulum Beach, Mexico is an idyllic, serene getaway.  The stunning white sands and bright teal waters definitely leave their mark on travellers. On the “beach strip,” you can find bohemian-esque restaurants and accommodations, ensuring you can always be within a few steps of the powder like sand and sparkling water.

6. Grace Bay

Glistening blue water grazes a white sandy shore here in the Turks and Caicos.  Grace Bay is one of the most famous beaches in the world.  Just off shore is home to thousands of sea animals in the rainbow-colored reef.  The beach is sheltered by the reef creating a smooth surface that allows for easy swimming and snorkelling.  This is summer all year round with over three hundred days of sunshine.

Pack your camera!  Anse Source D’Argent in the Seychelles is the world’s most photographed beach. Shimmering sand, aquamarine water and boulder-adorned shores.  If you visit later in the afternoon and wait for the sunset you’ll find intense hues that will result in fabulous photos for even amateur photographers.  The water is so shallow you will likely reach 1km before the water gets past your waist.

9. Maya Bay, Phi Phi

Phi Phi, Thailand has been chosen as the backdrop of dozens of films and added to the bucket lists of countless beach-lovers. Taking in the turquoise bay from the pillow-like sands is an experience to be had.  From overhead you’re protected by lush andlooming mountains in a cove that feels a million miles away from it all. You’ll have to hire a boat to get here, but it is true paradise and well worth it.
