In Sweden most citizens trust their government. Afterall, there is less corruption than in most countries and overall the government is quite ‘good’. There are a growing number of Swedes questioning the country’s rush to embrace a cash-free society. Many Swedes are turning against a cashless society altogether.
Many consumers already say they manage without cash. And most shops and cafes increasingly refuse to accept notes and coins because of the costs and risk involved. However, in other countries there is distrust towards their governments all the time, furthermore, their governments control of the banks and what could possibly happen to their funds.
